Description
Find the right fiber fast without taking the network down. The C607 live fiber identifier detects light traffic through the fiber jacket, showing which direction the signal is traveling and the relative power level in the core. It also recognizes 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz tone signals, so you can identify one specific fiber in a crowded tray or bundle.
The self-adjusting clamp holds 250µm bare fiber, 900µm buffered fiber and 2mm or 3mm jacketed cable without changing adapters, saving time on every job. Its wavelength response covers 800 to 1700nm for both multimode and single mode networks.
This tool does more than identify fiber. A built-in optical power meter measures 10 standard wavelengths (850, 980, 1270, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1577, 1625 and 1650nm) across a -70dBm to +10dBm range. A built-in visual fault locator reaches about 15 to 20km to help you spot breaks and fault points, and the 2.5mm universal connector accepts SC, FC and ST connectors. An LED light makes it easier to work in dark cabinets and enclosures.
The lightweight 100g body has a clear color LED display and charges through a USB Type-C port, so there are no batteries to replace. It comes with a protective tool case and USB cable, making it a handy all-round tool for FTTH installers, CATV technicians and network maintenance teams.
