Description
Getting through a cable jacket cleanly is the first step to a good termination or splice. This black fiber optic cable jacket and buffer tube stripper is sized for larger cables from 4.8 to 7.9mm, giving installers and technicians a fast, precise way to open outer sheaths without damaging what is inside.
Its blade set includes three straight blades and one arc blade. Rotate the tool around the cable for a clean ring cut, or slide it along the cable for a longitudinal slit, then peel the jacket away in seconds. The adjustable blade depth lets you dial in just enough cut to get through the sheath while protecting buffer tubes, fibers and coax conductors from nicks.
The stripper works well on indoor bundle cable sheaths, loose tube fiber cable and CATV coaxial cable, making it a versatile tool for telecommunications, cable installation, maintenance and repair. A durable metal body and ergonomic plastic handle make it comfortable for repeated use, and at only 45g it adds almost no weight to your kit. A spare blade is included so you can keep working when the original wears.
