Fiber Termination Kit with 30km Visual Fault Locator, Power Meter and Cleaver

This is a complete field kit for installing, testing and repairing fibre links, covering everything from stripping and cleaving through to measuring loss and locating faults. It suits FTTH work, CATV engineering, and general network installation and maintenance.

Optical power meter. Ten test wavelengths across a -70 to +10 dBm range, with a built-in 10km visual fault locator. It stores 500 sets of readings and can display linear mW and non-linear dBm at the same time. Backlight, illumination, wavelength memory, user calibration and automatic shutdown are all supported.

Visual fault locator. A 30mW high-power 650nm unit reaching 20 to 30km, with a 2.5mm universal interface. It makes breaks, poor splices, tight bends and cracks visible along the fibre, which is far quicker than working back through a link by elimination.

Fiber cleaver. The three-in-one clamp takes 3mm drop cable, 900µm pigtail and 250µm bare fibre. The blade returns automatically, cutting angle stays under 0.8°, and it is rated for around 32,000 cuts.

Cleaning tools. The 1.25mm pen cleans LC and MU connectors and the 2.5mm pen cleans SC, FC and ST, each rated for over 800 cleans. The cassette cleaner covers 2.5mm and 1.25mm ferrules for over 550 cleans, and comes with a replacement tape roll.
