Dell 470-ABQG Compatible 100G QSFP28 Direct Attach Copper Cable (QSFP28 to QSFP28, 2m, Passive, 30AWG)
This 100G QSFP28 passive copper cable is a lower-cost replacement for the Dell 470-ABQG. It provides a 100 Gigabit link between QSFP28 ports using four independent full-duplex channels running at up to 25.8 Gbps each.
At 2 metres it covers runs across a rack or into an adjacent one, where a 1 metre cable would fall short. Being passive, it needs no power beyond the host port and adds almost no latency, so it costs far less than a pair of 100G optical modules with a fibre patch lead.
It suits data centres, high-performance computing networks, and enterprise core and distribution layers. Note the 35 mm minimum bend radius, so allow room behind the rack when planning the run.
QSFP28 is the 100G form factor. It shares the same physical size as QSFP+, so a 40G module will often work in a 100G port, but a 100G cable will not run at full speed in a 40G port. Neither fits an SFP+ port.
